Acer's New Ultrathin Timeline

Acer's New Ultrathin Timeline

Acer has always been a force in the PC market thanks to its decent products and low price point strategy. So be it a notebook or desktop, Acer has steadily offered good deals on both products. While generally the build quality for its notebooks and desktops are fine, the notebooks in particular, suffer from way too much glossy plastic in the design, and sometimes convey a less than ideal build quality.

Things however, have changed somewhat with their latest ultrathin notebook that uses Intel's cost effective Consumer Ultra Low Voltage (CULV) Core 2 mobile processors. Gone is the plastic feel and in its place, Acer has given its Aspire Timeline 4810T an aluminum coat that gives the unit a fresh and stylish look while also imparting a sturdy feel to the notebook. The result? A simple but sexy looking notebook that we'll be taking a closer look in the next few pages.

For now, here the pretty exterior profile photos and following them are the notebook's specifications:-

Our view of the pretty and sexy looking Acer Aspire Timeline 4810T from the top.

The front of the unit keeps things clean, with just a LED light to indicate the charging status and a 5-in-1 card reader.

The right side houses the optical drive, USB 2.0 port, LAN port and power jack.

The left side keeps things simple with two more USB 2.0 ports, a VGA analog out, a HDMI port and the audio and headphone jacks.
